Your journey
Its route is 35 km and takes 90 minutes stopping at the following stations: Volcán, Tumbaya, Purmamarca and Maimará, soon it will be 42 km adding the Tilcara station.

The final project includes extending the route to La Quiaca, on the border with Bolivia
As it is a tourist train, its travel speed is 25 km per hour.
The train works like a Hop-on Hop-off, meaning that you can get on and off at the different stations to visit each town throughout the day, known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage.

What can you enjoy at each stop?
Only traveling on a high-tech train and enjoying beautiful landscapes at a pleasant speed will transport you to a world of peace and comfort.

During the tour you will be able to see the Volcano , a small town at 2,078 meters high, which has a craft market, where you can find:
leather, wood, images, fabrics, looms, pottery, musical instruments, stone baskets and antlers, as well as a pucará that was the first indigenous settlement in the area.
Tumbaya a tiny town erected in 1899 on the banks of the Rio Grande, its historic church dates back to 1796 and inside it houses pictorial treasures from the Cuzco School and pieces of goldsmithing, in addition to being the epicenter of pilgrimages to the Virgin of Copacabana. This bucolic town was a rest town for the residents of San Salvador and has a museum and an archaeological site. The gastronomy school is worth highlighting since this town specializes in Andean food due to the great variety of potatoes, with unique colors and flavors. In addition, quinoa and ancestral cooking techniques are studied.
Purmamarca : the town famous for its hill of seven colors. It should be noted that the hill cannot be seen from the train. You need to travel by taxi, two km. to get to the town.
Maimará : This last section is the longest and most attractive. The most unmissable route of the walk: from the windows you can see the entire Painter's Palette, a multicolored hill iridescent in greens, yellows, ochres, grays and pinks.
We are waiting for you!!

Cast off! and enjoy the beauty of the landscapes, flavors and colors of the beautiful Jujeña land
